(Hint: More than you think!)
Dr. Monica and I attended a continuing education seminar this weekend. It was all about epigenetics and prenatal nutrition. One of the phrases she said made me chuckle… “Going to the chiropractor for pain is like going to the bank for the free pens.” Her point being that your potential with chiropractor care is much greater than you think it is.
I have to agree! As chiropractors we have helped many people find relief from pain. And of course we’re happy to do so. However, what we really want you to gain from your care is health and resilience!
We hope you’re not surprised to find out that Dr. Monica and I check and adjust each other every time we’re working together, which is currently 3 times a week! We both notice a dramatic difference in how our bodies function when we have a higher volume of adjustments consistently. We notice so much about our bodies, far beyond relief from pain. For example; relief from brain fog, a boost in immunity if we feel we’re getting sick, attitude adjustments (they’re a real thing!). Most times, we are getting adjusted even though we feel just fine!
The thing is, chiropractic care has the potential to make the world a better place. That’s a big statement, but I stand by it! As a mom, getting adjusted allows me to feel my best when I’m with my kids. I’m a better mom, a better wife, a better chiropractor/small business owner, and a better person in general. When you’re uncomfortable and your nervous system is dysregulated, you’re not functioning at your best. This can make you feel short tempered, maxed out and overwhelmed. Feeling this way makes it really hard to fully show up in your life.
If more people in our community receive the benefits of consistent chiropractic care, we’ll become a healthier community with more connected people and more connected families.
That’s my goal for the people in my life and in the community of Stillwater!
Now that you have a better idea of your potential under chiropractic care, does it change the goals you might have for your care? If so, let us know!
